With a big theme “Time to Share”, the event was held on August 23-24, 2017 at the coffee plantation owned by Kapal Api Group, Sulotco Jaya Abadi, located in Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi. This event was held as the company’s contribution, especially in the field of education and health.
In the field of education, the Kapal Api Global team conducted renovations in four schools located in the plantation area of PT Sulotco Jaya Abadi: Bolokan 363 SDN, Awan 04 Elementary School, Bolokan SATAP 6 Junior High School, and Awan 2 Junior High School. In addition to renovations, Kapal Api Global also provided the donations such as: textbooks, student equipment (bags, books, stationery), cleaning facilities, replacement of inappropriate desks and chairs, building the sports field, and building the toilets for each school. To support health facilities, Kapal Api Global provided the health facilities assistance in two Poskesdes (Village Health Posts) closest to the plantation area and also built Posyandu for the community in plantations and surrounding areas.
This event involved all employees of Kapal Api Group by including the representatives from 6 Kapal Api Global Business Units. So that everyone directly involved in the renovation process, cleaning the schools and sharing with the students. The purpose of this event was held in Toraja and in the Kapal Api plantation area was because as a large company from the coffee business, Kapal Api Global is responsible for the welfare of the community around the plantation.
